Our Vision – January 2024 Challenge

LEARN TODAY, LEAD TOMORROW

In January, we will be thinking about our vision and what it means to us.

What is a vision?

  • Our goal
  • Something we strive for
  • Future tense and ambitious

What does our vision mean to us?

  • Importance of learning
  • If we learn, we will be ready for the future
  • Learners today are leaders of tomorrow

As all of our children are leaders and lead in different ways, in January we will be exploring our vision in class and at home. We ask that you discuss the following questions with your child at home to prepare them for the class task.

As our vision is something we strive and work towards, think about the following:

  • What you think you’ll be leading in the future?
  • What job would you like to do when you grow up?
  • Why do you think you will be good at leading in this?

Primary 1 Homework      Monday 27th March

Stewarton Bonnet Guild would like to invite all children and young people at NRPS to take part in a designing a Gala Week programme cover competition. They’d love you to design a bright and eye catching cover for the 90th anniversary programme (that’s the book they sell to raise funds that contains all the information about the weeks’ events). They thought it would be a good idea to see if you could come up with a design!

If you’d like a chance at having your design on the cover, please draw it for us on A4 paper (you can ask your teacher for some paper) and make your cover design portrait format – that’s the short side at the bottom. Metallic pens (such as gold and silver) don’t come out in printing so we recommend normal colours. Some ideas to start you off could be the number ninety and things you might see, do or enjoy in Gala week – we can’t wait to see your brilliant designs!

The closing date for the competition is 31st March. Please bring your designs into school before then
