Hi all.

In school, we spend a lot of time encouraging children to use kind words, calm choices, and trusted adults to help solve problems or disagreements in class and in the playground. In class, we talk about the difference between standing up for ourselves and answering unkind words and actions with retaliation.

I appreciate all parents and carers in your continuation to promote actions from your children that align with the school values at NRPS. Children should remember that if they have a disagreement with another, that they should make a trusted adult know. This is the safest and most positive way to deal with conflict in school.

We are working hard to build a classroom where children feel safe, respected, and able to manage disagreements peacefully.

Our class have been excited to start thinking about multiplication in our Number Talks.

Everyone has been working hard to break down the new concept and has been having fun along the way!

Last week, P2P explored our senses: touch, taste, and smell.

The children had lots of fun describing the taste of some of the foods on the tray.

Hey everyone,

For show and tell this week, can children bring in their favourite book? Children should pick a book they are passionate about (fiction or non-fiction), one they can talk a little about to the rest of the class.

Mr Palmer will bring his own!

I will remind the children of this requirement this week.

Children of P2P have their homework jotters home for the Holidays. Feel free to practise words whenever you can. However, there is no requirement for homework from Monday 8th onwards.

We have been exploring ways to represent fossils in different materials. This week, P2P have been making their own dinosaur fossils from air-dry clay.

This week, as part of Book Week Scotland, P2P have been reading Bee-Bim-Bop! by Linda Sue Park.

We’ve been exploring culture in Korea: their language, their people, their music, and their food.

Here, we are making our very own Bibimbap.
