Thank you for your patience while we gathered all of our photo permissions. Now that we have them all in place, I am delighted to share some of the lovely moments I have been capturing since our very first week together.
It is hard to believe that we are already 9 weeks into Primary 1! The children have settled in so well and have been busy learning, exploring, making new friendships and growing in confidence each day.
Here is a little peek of all the fun and learning happening in our classroom! ๐
In Numeracy, we had lots of fun using all the 2D shapes we have learnt to create our very own shape monsters! We enjoyed getting creative while practising recognising and naming the different shapes.

This week during IDL, we have been learning about diyas and how they are used during celebrations. We had lot of fun creating our own diyas using clay and then carefully painting them with bright, colourful designs!

During Flexible Learning, we had lots of fun exploring the different areas of the FLA. We enjoyed using our imagination, developing our creativity and building our confidence as we learned, played and worked together with our friends.

In Literacy, we have been developing our mark – making and handwriting skills through our story of the week, Amma’s Sari. Linking to our IDL learning, we created our own versions of the character Amma, imagined different settings and explored the exciting adventures her sari could take us on!

In IDL, we have been exploring mehndi patterns by using our mark – making skills to create beautiful designs with different shapes and patterns.

In Numeracy, we have been learning to recognise , name and make different 2D shapes through lots of fun activities.

For Maths Week Scotland, our Primarys 7s organised lots of exciting maths activities for Primary 1. We all had lots of fun learning and exploring maths together.

Literacy – We have been consolidating our SATPIN phonic sounds by practising saying and writing each sound.

PE – We learnt to move our bodies safely and practise our passing skills through fun games and activities.

IDL – We explored different clothing worn in India and designed our own kurtas using bright colours and patterns.
