Final week of 2024!

Hi everyone,

I can’t believe it’s the final week of school before 2024!

There’s lots of exciting events coming up this week, so here’s a quick reminder:

  • On Monday, the school will be holding their annual Christmas gifting event. Children can bring £2 with them and a bag to carry their gift.
  • Tuesday is the last day for donations to the Reverse Advent Calendar. Thank you to those who have already donated.
  • Due to the generosity of families, the Christmas gifting is able to open again for all classes on Tuesday. If children want to bring an extra £2, then they will be able to visit the Christmas gifting event again.
  • On Wednesday, the whole school are going to the Kilmarnock panto. We will be leaving school at 9:05am prompt so please make sure you are on time for school. Children can bring a small snack and drink, preferably in a disposable bag.
  • On Friday, it is “dress as you please” for the final day of school before the holidays. Please note we finish at 2:30pm.

If you have any questions, please feel free to catch me at the school door.

Merry Christmas everyone and a Happy 2025 when it comes! Thanks,

Miss Ronald

Nativity performance

Hi all,

We’re super excited for tomorrow’s Christmas shows.

Just a reminder that all children have to wear a black t-shirt/long sleeve top and black trousers/leggings for their performance. All other costumes will be provided by the school on the day.

If you have any questions, please feel free to be in touch.

Thanks,

Miss Ronald

Christmas Party

Hi all,

Tomorrow is our P1 Christmas Party! We’re super excited

Children can come dressed in the morning for their party, or they can be picked up at lunchtime and dropped back off. Whatever is easiest.

Looking forward to our party. Thanks,

Miss Ronald

Reading books

Hi everyone, P1R have been working super hard over the last few weeks. We’ve had great fun getting to know each other!

Just so you know, new reading books will be handed out again on Monday 18th November, and you can expect new reading books on a Monday going forward. Learners should continue to bring their homework folders every day, as we will need our reading books for reading practice in school.

This week, learners have asked to focus on personal reading at home. They can choose their favourite books and read with their families. They should continue to focus on retelling the story, as well as concentrating on descriptions of the main characters. We have been doing really well with this in class!

Thanks,

Miss Ronald
