P7S celebrated Maths Week Scotland with the rest of the school this week. They led outdoor activities for the younger children as well as taking part in their own Maths Week activities. They explored this year’s theme, Maths Matters, through writing, and they had a visit from Joe Gallagher (Creative Minds) who linked our IDL topic of Greece with maths through a creative lens.
P7S have been learning about Greek architecture. They explored an ancient Greek museum on Minecraft Education, then they built their own buildings inspired by Greek architecture.
P7S have been working on developing the meta-skills of focusing, communicating, collaborating and feeling this term. As part of this, they have been working on regular problem-solving tasks and thinking questions.
We have lots of learning planned for P4H this session. If you would like to see what we are learning about so that you can support your child with learning further at home, please click on the document below. This is our Yearly Learning Overview. This is subject to some change.
