Term 1
Our Active Literacy novel this term is “Kensuke’s Kingdom” by Michael Morpurgo. We will use this as a stimulus for our IDL topic which is on Japan.
Our writing this term will focus on recount and report writing. P6 will put their report writing skills to use in Science, where we are learning about materials and chemical reactions.
In numeracy we have been working on place value, rounding and estimating, and number processes including multiplication and division.
