Good morning P4. Another good day yesterday with lots of super work being handed in. Remember to make sure you check-in to say hi in the morning. I miss seeing you all so it’s nice when you include yourself in the morning chit chat.

Your assignments for today and tomorrow will go live at 10am and the hand-in time will be 4pm on Wednesday for all of them. I have put the closing date for them to be Thursday 7th May at 4pm as Friday is a holiday and I don’t want you having to work on a holiday or over the weekend. Remember to do what you can manage and not worry if you don’t have time to complete everything. Some assignments are optional!
I will be on here between 11-12pm and 2-3pm to answer any questions you have regarding work or if you just need a chat.

Numeracy Tuesday 5th & Wednesday 6th May
Complete the number problem (165 – 78) or (55 – 27). Remember to write the title of which strategy you are using in each box. You can write directly on the Number Talks sheet below and upload or write on a piece of paper, take a photo and upload it to your assignments. You can choose from:

*keep a constant difference

Number Talks Subtraction Visual Aids
Look at the worksheet from yesterday on subtraction with exchanging sums and complete some more of them. If you finished them all yesterday then try to make up some of your own and remember to try and challenge yourselves.
Again, don’t worry about doing on squared paper- plain paper will be fine. *Remember to show your workings, not just the answer.

Phoneme Spelling Mat
There are two worksheets attached on the link below. Read the instructions below to complete the task.
- On the first sheet write out your spelling words from yesterday and diacritically mark them.
- On the second sheet choose 4 of your spelling words and write in the Elkonin boxes. Then choose 1 of those words and complete the rest of the sheet for that word.
You can print the sheet out and complete on the sheet or write on a piece of paper and photgraph it and upload to your assignment. Don’t worry that it won’t look like the sheet, just as long as you complete each part on the sheet.

Continue with your reading book and comprehension. It is really important that you make sure you read the questions properly and try to answer in as much detail as you can.
