Good morning P4. We had another good day yesterday with lots of you engaging on Teams. Please try to stay in touch- even if it’s just to do the daily check-in or say hi. We miss you all so it’s nice to read what you have been up to.

Your assignments for today and tomorrow will go live at 10am (fingers crossed) and the hand-in time will be 4pm on Wednesday for all of them.
I will be on here between 11.30-12.30pm and 2-3pm to answer any questions you have regarding work or if you just need a chat.
Your check-in activity today is to see if you can spin a ball on your finger for 3 seconds. Let us all know how you got on. Have a fun day!
Numeracy Tuesday 28th & Wednesday 29th April
Complete the number problem (256 + 139) or (48 + 36). Remember to write the title of which strategy you are using in each box. You can write directly on the Number Talks sheet below and upload or write on a piece of paper, take a photo and upload it to your assignments. You can choose from:
*re-ordering
*place value partitioning
*friendly numbers
*compensation
*bridging through 10

Number Talks Addition Visual Aids
Look at the worksheet from yesterday on addition column sums and complete some more of them. If you finished them all yesterday then try to make up some of your own and remember to try and challenge yourselves.
Again, don’t worry about doing on squared paper- plain paper will be fine. *Remember to show your workings, not just the answer.
Literacy Tuesday 28th & Wednesday 29th April
Weekly spelling words
Choose 5 of your spelling words from Monday and write a great VCOP sentence for each one. Try to use connectives in each sentence. Complete on a word document or piece of paper and upload to assignments. Remember to ‘add work’ and ‘hand-in’.
Spelling grid
Select any activity from the grid. Use words from your weekly spelling words and any ‘oe’ words you have found on your own.
Handwriting
Practise the alphabet in cursive handwriting and then write words that contain the join ‘in’ (bin, contain, bring).
You can upload all these at one time when you have completed them or you can upload when each one is completed. You will need to go back to complete assignments and ‘add work’ and ‘turn in again’.
Continue with your Bug Club reading book. Remember to refer to the text to help you answer in full.
Drawing Challenge
Draw your friends as a team of superheroes. You can use a variety of media such as pencils, pens or paint. I look forward to seeing your creations- have fun!
