October

Happy October Everyone,

As you can see we are still very interested in looking at and talking about the Moon, Stars and Planets. We have been having lots of discussions  about the moon. Who lives on the moon?  What time does it come out at night? Why is it still out in the morning?

We are using factual books and Google search engine to find out answers for our question and enjoying fictional stories about the moon.

We are also enjoying Yoga sessions after our lunch, using breathing techniques to help us regulate  and reboot our mind and bodies  ready to go enjoy our afternoon. If you wish you can use Google and search for ….preschool restorative yoga ….and enjoy unwinding at home with your family.

Our Rhyme of the Month for October is…

Incy Wincy Spider.

I hope you enjoy exploring it with your child as much as Twinkle  Twinkle little Star.

Have a Wonderful October

Mary

Our Learning So Far in Zone 1

Hi everyone,

My name is Mary, I am the Communication Champion and also the Key worker for  the Koala group..

It is so good to be back seeing you all.

We have been very busy in Zone 1.

Practicing our self help skills, dressing, undressing, fastening zips through playing with the dressing up clothes.

We are also investigating and exploring 2D shape , matching, naming  and describing when choosing a shape for our leader badge and participating in a 2D shape hunt in all areas of the playroom and outdoors.

Each month we will have a Rhyme of the Month.

September’s Rhyme is…..

Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, which the children have been reciting together in large group and enjoying using the talking tub to record themselves reciting the Rhyme and playing it back for others to hear.

We have also been sharing what we know about the stars, moon, planets and the sun by having discussions together at welcome time and plan to record what we know for others to see.

Can you ask your child to sing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star to you and their family?
