CfE Es and Os  Writing LIT 2 -20a

Imagine you are seeing familiar objects for the first time and have to create names for them.  This activity will make you think about what you are experiencing in a new way.

It also a great way to have fun with language!

CfE Es and Os  Writing LIT 2 – 20a

You can direct learners to include specific parts of speech, rhymes, similes or metaphors to complement ongoing work.

Invent a Journey Stick Story –  Journey sticks are a great prompt for retelling a journey or story.

CfE Es and Os  Writing LIT 2 -28a

Journey sticks were used by First Nations people  to help them remember journeys and stories.  They often used by learners working at Early Level.  However, they can be used at all levels.  Learners working at Second Level can recall and recount much more so add many more objects to your journey.

Can you write a Journey Stick Story in the style of an adventure quest like Torak’s?

Can you imagine being a story teller sitting beside a fire with rest of your clan? Use your story stick to remind you how the story unfolds?
