About the book The Wilderness War
Noah and his friends live opposite a patch of land which has been left unused for years – the Wilderness. No-one except Noah and friends can see its worth. It is the perfect place for building dens, making fire.   It’s an adult free space and it’s where Noah and his friends feel truly free.

The book tells the story of what makes this such a special place and how Noah and friends fight to protect what they think is special, important and what they love.

Julia says,

Playing outside is good for us in every possible way; it teaches us to take risks and be strong, to use our imagination and be creative. It gives us a connection with the natural world and makes us care. And if we care about the natural world, we will try to protect it. Never has this been more important than now.
