Dedicating a small part of your school estate to food growing will enrich your learning spaces. If you use your school grounds to grow a few food crops, you are creating opportunities for learning across all 8 curricular areas. Involving parents, families and the wider community in the creation, maintenance and celebration of your growing where possible will benefit everyone.

RHS School Gardening Campaign & Awards are very flexible and is supported by topic and lesson plans, information sheets and activity guides. All resources are free and you do not have to register with the awards to access them. In addition, RHS have created an RHS Let’s Grow Food Padlet with lots of ideas to get you started on your own food growing project.
