This activity ties in with the Forces topic. It can be used to show the force that air can provide to launch rockets and also pupils can experiment with the shape of the rocket to look at the effect of streamlining.

For younger pupils this activity could be introduced by using the story Whatever Next – Baby Bear goes to the moon.
