Rewilding Young People – Adventure and Exploration Outdoors

By making our grounds more interesting and biodiverse we open up the school estate as the context for the beginnings of adventure and exploration outdoors.

When we think about Adventure, the wilderness is closer than you think!  Find out what ‘adventure’ can mean and be inspired to introduce young people to the breadth of possibilities.

For some young people residential visits are their first taste of adventure.  We created  LochDown Lodge – The Alternative Residential 2021 activities for those times when residential visits are not possible or when you want to try out some adventure at home or in the school grounds.   This is a week long programme of activities  from  den and shelter building, mapping, orienteering, pioneering, whittling…
