Pots of growing herbs bought at the supermarket can be divided and replanted to make extra plants.
Herbs like parsley and chives work well for this activity.
Supermarket herbs have probably spent most of their time indoors. They will grow on happily on a kitchen window sill. If you want them to grow outdoors, you will have to ‘harden them off’ that means letting them get used to life outdoors by taking the pots outdoors on sunny days and bringing them in each evening. As plants grow stronger and get used to the new conditions, you can leave them out overnight.
Keep an eye on the weather forecast and if there is going to be frost bring them indoors or cover them up.
If you want there are lots of other plants and herbs you can re-grow, this link gives some quick and easy ideas.
