Tim McArthur, Centre Support Officer for The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award in East Ayrshire, works in partnership with schools and centres to develop capacity to open the Award to all young people.

The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award encourages self confidence, team work and resilience in young people from S3 up to the age of 25 and the Award is valued highly by participants and indeed Universities and employers.

Tim‘s  involvement with the Award began in an SEN school in Ayr for eight years and with secondary education for eleven years.

When not in a classroom or tramping the hills, Tim can be found sailing, or, “mucking out horses whilst listening to music”.
