Kilmarnock Academy is part of an international project working with schools in 4 other European countries – Italy, Lithuania, Portugal and Turkey. The first international visit took place in February 2017 where two teachers, Mrs Elaine Walker and Mr Dougie Stevenson, along with four students, Eilidh Raeburn, Erin Muir, Aynsley Calder and Megan Kerr had the opportunity to travel to Vasto in Italy.
