Kilmarnock Academy Assembly Hall was the place to be on Friday 28th October.
S1, S2 and S3 pupils who had achieved the ACE awards had their reward in the form of Hallowe’en-themed assemblies.
To qualify, pupils had to achieve over 90% in the school’s merit points system. Positive behaviours like punctuality, good behaviour, hard work and effort are rewarded with points while points are lost by negative behaviours like disruption, late-coming and failing to bring in homework on time.
Almost all S1 pupils won the right to attend and were treated to Apple Dookin and the Mummy-wrap game. Wallace House speared the most apples and Burns and Wallace drew for the best mummy, making Wallace the overall winners. Adam Corbett and Aiden Sutherland had the best fancy dress.
S2 played Pass the Raisin (won by Wallace and Scott) and Ghostly Waiter, which was won by Scott and Burns making Scott the overall winners. Best costumes were Bailey Douglas and Cean Speirs.
S2 played Pass the Pumpkin, won by Callum Kilpatrick, Jordan Stewart and Morgan Allan; and The Scarecrow Relay, won by Burns.
All three Assemblies also included a Quiz: The Price is Right in honour of Finance day, the winners of which will be announced later.
