Parasport Festival

One of our P7 pupils was representing us at the Parasport Festival being organised by Disabilty Sport Scotland. All the clubs attending were keen to sign her up! She even had the opportunity for a photo with a Parsport Olympic medalist. Thanks also to her two friends who volunteered to come along as cheerleaders #goteamjimmy

Ayrshire Cup

The boys football team kicked off their first competitive match of the session in the Ayrshire Cup with a hard fought 2-0 victory over Darvel. They will face Shortlees at home in the next round. Thanks to everyone who came along to offer their support #goteamjimmy

House Football

The second of our Intra-House competitions was another close affair! Pupils from P1-7 took part and gave their all. Thanks to everyone for their support. The Red House came out on top in the end.

Red House 52 points (overall winners with most wins – 100 tokens)

Blue House 52 points (75 tokens)

Yellow House  45 points (50 tokens)

Green House 44 points (25 tokens)

New Kit

The Girls Football Team were sporting their new kit (thank you Ms Dougan!) in their first friendly of the session away at Whatriggs PS. The girls hit double figures with a very confident performance! They will be playing at home on Tuesday the 13th December, after school, in another friendly match against Shortlees PS for anyone wanting to come and give their support. #goteamjimmy

House Tug-of-War

To kick start the new House Point scheme, all pupils (P1-7) participated in the first of our Intra-House Competitions. It was great fun and ended in a 3-way tie:

Yellow House –  won 9 wars (25 tokens)

Blue, Green & Red House – won 11 wars (50 tokens)

I don’t know who was more competitive – the pupils or the teachers lol! Thanks for everyone’s support on the day.

Sportscotland School Sport Award

We are pleased to announce we have achieved our Bronze Status for the Sportscotland School Sport Award.

The Sportscotland School Sport Award is a national initiative designed to encourage schools to put young people at the heart of decision making, planning and implementation of extra-curricular school sport. It also encourages schools to self-reflect and continuously improve and recognise and celebrate successful school sport models. The award also encourages sporting links between schools and the communities around them, providing opportunities for young people to progress.

Sportshall Athletics Final

We would like to congratulate our Athletics Team on an amazing performance at the Sportshall Athletics Final where they finished third! It was one of the closet finals I have ever seen with just the final relay race of the day separating the top 3 schools. Our pupils gave their all and we are  extremely proud of their achievement. A great day for all involved #goteamjimmy

Sportshall Athletics

The P6/7 Athletics Team were in action last week at the Sportshall Athletics Heats. They put in a sterling performance and have managed to qualify for the finals! The pupils demonstrated a fantastic team spirit and displayed sportsmanship throughout the event – the atmosphere on the day  was nothing short of electric! We are all extremely proud of their achievement! #goteamjimmy
