The girls football team have gone on to win the Ayrshire Cup beating the Champions of South Ayrshire (Forehill Primary) 2-0 in a thrilling game of football. This is a phenomenal achievement given this is our first ever girl’s team! It was a great turn out and spectators would have been pleased at the level of football played. We would like to thank the girls for all the effort they have put in this session and the way they have conducted themselves. They got to enjoy a McFlurry today and paraded their new trophy around classes! #goteamjimmy
Our new look Sports Day has been a real hit! It was great to have so many parents and families back through the gates. Our young people had an awesome time! It was a real team effort and I would like to thank all staff for making this run so smoothly.
The Blue House came out on top in the P4-7 and the Red House in the P1-3 but who will be our overall winners? All will be revealed at the next assembly!
The boys played their final football this session in the Willie Fisher Memorial Festival at Rugby Park. It was a great end to the season and the boys did remarkably well narrowly missing out in the final match on goal difference. We would like to thank everyone involved with the organisation of the event and again to our parents for coming along to offer their support.
The boys were knocked out the Dunlop cup in the final game of the group stage. They finished the group in 3rd place, winning one, drawing one and losing two. The standard of football this year in East Ayrshire has been very high. They put in some great performances and should be proud of their efforts!
It is with great disappointment that the boys have been knocked out the Ayrshire Cup 4-2 by a very well organised Struthers Team. The boys had edged a 2-1 lead in the second half but couldn’t contain the ever pressing Struthers. We would like to wish them the very best of luck in the final. It has been a great cup run and we are extremely proud of the boys efforts to get to the semi. Well done boys! They have one more fixture to go and must beat Gargieston to reach another semi in the Dunlop Cup. The fixture will take place at Grange Academy for a 3.45pm kick off on Thursday 9th June. Again, we would like to thank pupils, staff and families for their tremendous support they have given throughout the competition. A special mention must go out to Louie and Lucas from P7 who have attended every fixture home and away (our number 1 fans)! #goteamjimmy
A massive congratulations to our girls football team who are now Champions of East Ayrshire! They were in fine form and cruised to victory at an extremely crowded Ayrshire College. Rose Reilly was also in attendance to award the girls the trophy. I would like to thank all staff, pupils and families for their fantastic support during this years fixtures. The girls have been an absolute pleasure to coach and have played some great football. We now have one fixture left against the winners of the South Ayrshire Cup which will be played on Wednesday 21st of June. Venue and kick off time TBC #goteamjimmy
