P5 Wednesday 13th January 2021

Good Morning Everyone,

How are you all today?  Sadly, the snow has all gone and the snowmen have melted but the sun is now shining and it is much safer to go outside into the garden, if you have one, now that the ice has melted away.   I hope that you are able to go outside for a wee while today to enjoy some fresh air.

Thank you to everyone who has been sending e-mails in GLOW or messages via MS Teams.  Soon, we will be learning a bit more about how to use MS Teams – watch this space.

Today you will find your activities detailed in the Word Document below.  I have also added a link to a PowerPoint presentation which will help you with your ICT activity today.  Many of you already know how to attach documents to an e-mail, but this presentation will give you a few hints and tips just in case you are not sure.

P5 Attaching a Word Doc to an email

As always, if you have any questions, send me an e-mail and I will do what I can.  Remember that there is a form on the School App which can be used to raise any problems with GLOW logins or other technical issues.   If a Grown-Up can submit the form, then someone from School will be in touch to help as soon as possible.

Take care everyone and stay safe,

from,

Miss Steedman

P2B – Tuesday 12th January

Good morning Primary 2B,

Hope we all got off to a good start yesterday. Please remember to email me how you are getting on or if there are any questions/concerns – jaclyn.baillie@eastayrshire.org.uk

Today’s home learning tasks are spelling and reading comprehension for literacy (the reading was originally going to be on giglets/oxford owl but we will start that next week instead I did a whole class task on Education City – can you please check that you can get on to Education City and let me know if there are any issues). Maths will also be on Education City and thought we could end the afternoon with some PE to get us moving. Please click the link below to access the home learning tasks.

Tuesday 12th January

Good luck with the tasks and if you need anything please email me,

Miss Baillie

P7 Tuesday 12th January

Good morning P7,

How lovely it was to hear so many of you yesterday during our activity on Teams!  If you tried to join the meeting but were unsuccessful please let me know via email and tell me what was happening on your screen so that I can see if I can help for next time.

Today, I’m hoping you will be able to join me at 2pm again for a discussion in one of our topic channels on Teams – no actual ‘meeting’ today, just typing comments in response to my questions and building on each others answers live.

At the end of this post you will find a link for today’s daily diary which you can also find in Teams under general posts.

I have returned yesterday’s assignment to you and you should be able to access any comments by looking in the ‘Grades’ or ‘Assignments’ section.

Any problems, please send a wee message and I’ll get back to you as soon as possible during the school day.  If you have forgotten any login details or are having other difficulties with remote learning, please complete the form found in the school blog and a member of staff at the school will be able to help you.

Have a great day!

Mrs J

P6W: Tuesday 12th January 2021

Hello P6W

How are you today?  Here’s hoping the rain holds off today and you can get out for some fresh air for a wee while.

I hope you got on okay with the home learning tasks I set yesterday.  Thank you to those pupils who emailed their work to me.  I enjoyed reading your holiday recounts and your Wishes for 2021.  If there’s anything you’re not sure of with today’s tasks, just get in touch and I’ll help you all I can.

I look forward to seeing your work today and giving you feedback on your learning.

Have a super day.

P1L and P1R Language and Stick Man Activities

Good morning Primary 1 and thanks for all your hard work yesterday. You have worked really well finding phoneme g words and learning about Stick Man and exploring the seasons.

Today we are going to be learning about the alphabet, enjoy singing with Mr Tumble and all the Education City Gang so have fun with the alphabet and sentence making. A big thank you to all the helpers at home and in school for their support. The photos that I have received of your work is fantastic.

Please feel free to contact me if you need anything further and if you could keep sending me photos.

Thanks and have a great day 🙂

Tuesday 12th January 2021 -Mrs Cuthbertson – P1L and P1R Maths

Good morning P1,

I hope you all enjoyed our story about the cat yesterday! We looked again at the days of the week. I can’t wait to see your cats and paper chains. We are going to look at the 12 months of the year today. We will use stories, songs and activities to help us learn as we listen and play. You are working hard on Education City and I have added some new games for you all about the Months of the year. Some of you have contacted me via Mrs Carey as you couldn’t get through to me.  I have realised I typed the wrong e mail address!  You can definitely contact me on

l.cuthbertson@eastayrshire.org.uk

I look forward to hearing from you. Here are the ’12 months of the year’ activities for today. I hope you enjoy them. Don’t forget to share your learning with me.

Tuesday 12th January – Primary 1L and P1R Maths activities

Remember to try your best and if you don’t have the materials you need for an activity, please don’t worry. Just think of another way to do it such as a drawing. I know you are all working hard and I am very proud of you.

Hugs from Mrs Cuthbertson xx
