P7 Monday 25th January

Good morning P7,

I hope you have all had a good weekend and managed to get out in the better weather.

You’ll notice that today’s daily diary says Monday and Tuesday on it.  This is to allow you the time to complete the tasks to the best of your ability without rushing them.  You will need to think about how to manage your time  so it might be helpful to plan out what you’re going to do on each day.  The only additional tasks tomorrow will be a reading  assignment on Giglets and a live maths activity on Teams.

I hope you enjoy the activities – you’ll notice a wee theme!

Hopefully, you will be able to join me at 11am today for a meeting on Teams. See the daily plan for details.

As always, all the resources you need can be found on our team page.  (I have posted the film here too just in case it doesn’t work on the slideshow.)

Take care,

Mrs J

P5 Monday 25th January 2021

Good Morning Everyone,

Happy Robert Burns Day!  How many of you will be enjoying a delicious Burns Supper tonight?  Mmmmm!

Today is the start of a new way of posting our daily blogs.  I will write a wee note here in the Daily Blog page but instead of including the Word Document here, I will copy everything into a Class Notebook page in MS Teams.

So today’s work can be found in our P5 2020 – 2021 Team on MS Teams.

Open: Class Notebook > Content Library > P5 Resources > Monday 25th January 2021

There you will find all the details that you need to complete today’s Spelling, Numeracy and Robert Burns Day activities.  On the page are several links which you will need to open, including 2 films about calculating the Perimeter of a 2D shape and a link to a Newsround clip.  There is also a document embedded in the page which is about Scots Words.  If you have any problems opening the Scots Words document, you will also find it in:

Files > Class Resources folder.

Please let me know how this new method of posting works for you.  I know that many of you have been unable to open the Word Documents which is why we are trying this new approach.  E-mail me with your thoughts.

Have a super duper Monday everyone and enjoy Robert Burns Day,

from, Miss Steedman

P6W: Monday 25th January 2021

Hello P6W,

What a quick weekend!  I hope you had a lovely couple of days and enjoyed getting out in the sunshine. I think this cold, snowy weather is to continue for a few more days, so wrap up warm when you go out.

It has been made aware that some of you are unable to open Word documents on your device, so to make it a bit easier for you I have uploaded today’s work programme onto the Class Notebook in MS Teams. Click on Class Notebook, then click the menu icon ||\ and you’ll find today’s tasks in the ‘Content Library’.  The resources you’ll need are in Class Materials.  I have also attached today’s links below.

Good morning Primary 1, today I”m secretly hoping for some snow so that you can make a trail because this week we are looking at ‘The Gruffalo’s Child’. It’s a fabulous story about The Gruffalo’s daughter who is quite adventurous! I hope you enjoy following her adventures this week.

P3 Friday 22nd January

Good morning P3

Happy Friday!

Well done for all your hard work this week you are doing really well, and thank you to all the adult helpers too.

Today there’s some more about money in our maths topic ~ let me know if any of you set up a shop to practise making the right amounts.

I hope you’re enjoying learning about Rabbie Burns and some of the Scottish words we have been doing. Has anyone had a go at trying to say the Nessie poem? Some of the words in there are tricky 🙂

Hope you have a good day, and a great weekend when it comes
