If you child qualifies for free school meals then they would be entitled to receive a two course meal worth £2.15 per day.  You can qualify even if you are working and in receipt of certain benefits. By  qualifying via  the free meal entitlement this route, families will be awarded £160 per child by the end of January if they are registered by the end of the term at Christmas.  Continued entitlement throughout next year will award 4 further payments of £130 each.
