Good morning everyone!

Today I thought I’d give everyone a chance to catch up with all the assignments I’ve set you over this first week of school closure.

Try to do some exercise or go outside to play.I have uploaded a Lego challenge sheet, you might want to try out some challenges today?

Remember we were talking about Kindness before we left, so try to do an act of kindness today #bekind.

Also, if you haven’t had a chance to design a rainbow yet, I’d love it if you could design one today. Let’s see them too, try and upload a picture of yourself and your rainbow, it’ll help cheer us all up. Vhairi and I tried to paint our rainbow yesterday, hope you like it?!

Enjoy your Friday and remember it is usually Electives today so take time to do something you enjoy. I’m sure you’ve all behaved brilliantly and deserve it!

Today I thought we could make sure we do some kind of fitness. Maybe you’ve already done your Joe Wicks workout?

Literacy – Thursday is normally our writing day. Try to write a few paragraphs about your experiences so far during Covid-19 Lockdown. As this is a personal piece, remember to include your feelings and tell me about it from your perspective.

Numeracy – I have uploaded another number talks for you to work on.(will post as soon as computer will let me!)

Try to get outside in the garden today as it has to be dry today!

Good Morning P5B, hope you are all well today?

Today I’m going to be posting on Teams and adding the activities to our class blog too, as lots of people are having problems with assignments- including me!

Numeracy-

Practise your times tables with someone, get them to ask you lots of different times tables questions. Use Topmarks maths games to work on your times tables too.Make a fractions poster showing all you know about fractions- e.g. what does a half/eighth look like? How do you find a fraction of a whole number for example what is a quarter of 16? What are the rules for simplifying and finding equivalent fractions?

Literacy-

Using the ‘oo’ phoneme words you made, practise spelling these using pyramid spelling, rainbow writing or plasticine words.

Stay healthy and try to do some form of exercise, not sure you’ll get outside so maybe try Jo Wicks/dance/yoga. Try doing a craft ,help with the dishes, making dinner or baking today, weighing ingredients is all part of maths!

P5B will get to visit the Book Fair on Monday 9th March. If your child wishes to buy a book could they please bring money with them on that day.
