Together we created our own class charter. These are ideas of how we want our primary 3 class to be. We feel we want to always be heard, healthy, safe and allow each other to be themselves. We decided that the following articles we the most suitable for our chart from the education relevant Rights Respecting School Articles.
Article 29 – Your education should help you use and develop your talents and abilities.
Article 13 – You have the right to find out things and share what you learn with others.
Article 31 – You have the right to play and rest.
Mrs Baird and Mr Hay are the Duty Bearers and the children are the Right Holders. The children have the right to develop their talents and abilities, find out information and share it with others and the right to play and rest. Mrs Baird and Mr Hay have a duty to encourage children to use and develop their talents, find out information and share it with others and to give children the opportunity for play and rest.
All of the above fits in to how we teach and learn Numeracy, Literacy, Health and Wellbeing and Interdisciplinary Learning Topics each day in class.
