Science: Solubility
On Friday, P2/3 were testing the solubility of salt, sugar, sand, and pepper. We learned that salt and sugar and soluble and sand and pepper are insoluble.
Fab work P2/3!
Check out a video of our experiment.

Space: Solar System Model
This girl from P2/3 made this amazing solar system model at home with her mum.
Amazing work!
Science: Floating Ink
P2/3 were drawing pictures on plates today using whiteboard pens and then poured water on top to see what would happen. We experimented with different colours of whiteboard pens and different-sized pictures.
Some of our pictures floated and some could be peeled off the plate.
Well done P2/3!
Check out this video of P2/3s floating ink.
Space: Neil Armstrong
This week P2/3 were learning about Neil Armstrong as part of our Space topic. We made our own moon footprints from salt dough.
The children loved seeing this video of Neil Armstrong on the moon.
Amazing work P2/3!
Science: Dancing Rice
P2/3 stirred sodium bicarbonate into water, added rice, and then dripped vinegar in – the carbon dioxide created caused the rice to dance.
Amazing work P2/3!

HWB: Pupil of the Week
This week’s Pupil of the Week is Renesmee.
HWB: Pupil of the Week
Last week P2/3s Pupil of the Week was Chloé!
Science: Foaming and Fizzing Experiment
Yesterday, P2/3 poured vinegar onto sodium bicarbonate to see what would happen. We predicted what would happen and then wrote our own science report.
We learned that carbon dioxide gas is given off during the reaction.
Amazing work P2/3!
Check out this video of our foaming and fizzing experiment.
Science: Jelly Bean Experiment
This term P2/3 are learning how to write Science Reports as part of our writing. Yesterday we placed jelly beans in hot water and vinegar to see what would happen overnight.
Excellent Experimenting P2/3!
Science: Hydrophobic Hot Chocolate
Last week P2/3 were experimenting with hot chocolate and milk to find out if hot chocolate is hydrophobic.
Amazing work P2/3!
