RRS World Cup Cultures – Canada

On Thursday the whole school celebrated all things Canada as we build up our excitement for the 2026 Men’s World Cup. We played Ice Hockey numeracy games, wrote a short story set in Canada, and focussed a lot on our school value of Kindness, as Canadians have a kind reputation .  The class learned about famous Canadian landmarks including Niagra Falls and the CN Tower.  We also enjoyed trying out some ice hockey equipment brought in by some older pupils. Last but not least, Primary 3 loved tasting some maple syrup on pancakes!

RRS World Cup Cultures – Mexico

Primary 3 had a fantastic day on Monday, learning about Mexico! We learned about the geography and climate of Mexico, the origins of the country and made comparisons to Scotland. We took part in music activities based on the move, “CoCo” and enjoyed trying some nachos with optional salsa, cheese and guacamole.

Fingers crossed that Scotland do well and get to play in Mexico in the knock-out stages!
