Dyscalculia/Numeracy

EAST worked in partnership with SAC and Educational Psychological Services to developed a policy and assessment process to support the identification of Dyscalculia. This policy reflects current research and links with already established EA assessment processes. The working party looked outward to neighbouring Glasgow Dyslexia Service, Somerset County Council and East Dunbartonshire Council to discuss hypotheses and share ideas. This was helpful in shaping the policy.

The Dyscalculia assessment process has now been incorporated in the East Ayrshire’s Standard Circular 102 “ East Ayrshire’s assessment Process”.

A staff and parent leaflet was also developed and are available below.
