HOME LEARNING

Below you will find a selection of suggested learning activities for your child to access at home should they need to stay at home due to being unwell. If your child is too unwell there is no pressure to complete these tasks. They are there only to use if you wish.

Please click on the learning grid for the stage that your child is at. These can be amended or adjusted accordingly. There are a range of activities that cover all areas of the curriculum.

We have had a variety of consultations with our school community regarding the use of homework. Our surveys showed an even split of parents who would like homework issued and half who did not want homework. Due to this, the homework set typically tends to be learning that recaps over prior learning in class and utilises digital technologies to keep learning fun and engaging.

All children in the school have access to online reading opportunities through Giglets and Primary 4-7 have access to Sumdog which is an online tool that supports spelling, grammar and mathematics. A spelling pack has been sent home with each child and class teachers send the focus phoneme home each week/fortnight (depending on the stage) for children to engage in their own learning tasks at home.

Should you have any questions or concerns regarding homework, please do not hesitate to contact the school.
