The materials on this page are designed to be used to prompt discussion and inform school improvement planning for outdoor learning.  The toolkit consists of 2 parts –

• Audit –  LtL – EAC OL practice audit
• Self Evaluation – EAC LOST OL Self Evaluation – prompts for discussion

The toolkit draws heavily on audit materials produced by Learning through Landscapes and on the Education Scotland LfS Self Evaluation resource.

It  has been used successfully in a variety of ways within East Ayrshire –

• whole staff team or leadership teams work through each section in turn to establish current practice and areas for development across all stages and subject areas
• a leadership team identify practice within specific subject areas or learning stages
• identified outdoor learning lead gathers evidence (photographs, comments, examples of work) for display to prompt wider discussion.
