The children have been learning how to round numbers to the nearest 10, 100 and 1,000.
They completed a variety of tricky, but fun learning activities and were able to challenge themselves through these games.

Today in class we were making pictures of the wild fires in Australia. We used wax pastels to make a fire effect, after this we used charcoal to make a smudged look. As a class we are looking at how Climate Change is affecting our planet.

P6 and P7 have been learning about the function of the digestive system.
They undertook a very hands on (and smelly!) experiment which allowed them to visualise, and understand, the journey food takes from your mouth all the way to the other end!
As you can see from the children’s faces, it wasn’t always the most pleasant of activities at times!
The children have been writing down all the kind things they have said and done for each other this month. Every child had many kind things written about them. Above is our star of the month , who had said and done the most kind things this month. Well done!!!
We have had great fun this week making pumpkins from salt dough. We used the dough to create our pumpkin shape and stalk and used the clay tools to carve out the faces.
Hopefully this wee clip makes you smile. Happy Halloween!
Today we were creative with this weeks spelling words since it was our Halloween Fun Day.
We also had fun playing the Roll A Pumpkin Game and doing a hidden Halloween surprise drawing.
We finished our day with a little dance to the Monster Mash and Thriller. I am trying hard but my little video clip won’t share at the moment. Sorry.
Lots of happy faces. Happy Halloween everyone!
Inspired by the work of artist Georgia O’Keeffe, the children created these stunning close up images of poppies using chalk pastels.
The pictures will be part of the Village Remembrance Day Display.
Proud teacher indeed! I absolutely love these!
Wow! How amazing are these pictures. The children worked with oil pastels and blended with baby oil to get the spooky backgrounds. I love the vibrant colours.
They added ghosts, bats, twinkly stars and a bit of glitter glue to finish them off. Well done everyone.
