P4 – Spreading Kindness
For anti-bullying week, Primary 4 have spreading joy and kindness by writing some positive quotes in the playground for everyone to read. We have also been reading The Boy, the Mole, the Fox and the Horse in class and discussing some of our our favourite quotes.
One Kind Word – Anti Bullying Week 2021
This week, the school and P7 are taking part in Anti Bullying Week and today we made posters on things our classmates think about us and a Wonder portrait of our selfs. They are amazing and look fabulous. We loved writing kind comments about our classmates and felt good about it. The Wonder Poster ties into our reading book, they represent that everyone is important and that everyone is worth the same no matter how they look.

Primary 6 – COP26 Solo Talks
Last week, Primary 6 delivered solo talks on a country that attended COP26 and discussed different ways that these countries were tackling climate change.
They absolutely blew me away with their knowledge, passion and delivery. Primary 6 have a very proud teacher!
Primary 6 – Beat The Flood

P4 – Onomatopoeia Fireworks

Harvest Collection 2021
Our newly elected Captains and Vice Captains met to plan and organise this year’s Harvest collection, and this year they chose the AYRSHIRE (EAST) FOODBANK (seeded by The Trussell Trust)to be the receiving charity.
AYRSHIRE (EAST) FOODBANK
‘We don’t think anyone in our community should have to face going hungry. That’s why we provide three days’ nutritionally balanced emergency food and support to local people who are referred to us in crisis. We are part of a nationwide network of foodbanks, supported by The Trussell Trust, working to combat poverty and hunger across the UK.’
Today our Harvest collection was expertly led by the Vic Captains and after collecting the food items they then had the hard job of packing this ready for the foodbank to collect.
The Captains and Vice Captains, extend a huge thank you to our school community for their generosity and kindness.
I would like to extend a huge thank you to the Captains and Vice Captains for their citizenship and raising awareness for food poverty.
Kind regards, Mrs Nouillan
P5 Rocket Rounding
To complete our work on rounding to the nearest 1,000, the children produced rockets which show examples that round both up and down to their chosen number.
Terrific work and trickier than you might think. Lots of great discussion about suitable examples. Well done everyone!
