It was a slow and sleepy start today after our disco and 10pm game of rounders but we managed to get to our final activity of the week. Feeding the baby animals on the farm walk was another highlight of the week and we managed to fit in a quick circle time inside the willow maze on the way round the nature trail.
After that we had to pack our cases and pass our final room inspection of the week. We finished with a gathering and chat with the rangers.
What an amazing week! The children had a fantastic time and were a credit to the school, their families and should be extremely proud of themselves. After an extremely uncertain and strange few years, being able to stay away from home for the week and put themselves in a completely new environment was very brave and I cannot be more proud of the young adults they are becoming. The memories they made and life skills developed will stay with them forever. Miss Fernie, Miss Sabatini and I had the best week with you all so, Thank you and a big thank you to staff who came along to stay on various nights.
Thank you to our parents and carers, it can’t have been easy to watch your little people transform into the big P7s they have and watching them wheel their cases away on Monday, must have brought a tear to your eye, but thank you for allowing them to share this experience with us.
and finally … Thank you to Mr Leitch for providing us with the opportunity to take our young people on such an amazing adventure and Mrs Armstrong for handling the logistical side of things.
