It’s very important to learn how to stay safe when we go outside.
In the car
On a bus
Cycling
Walking
Crossing the road
Ziggy can help you with this!
Go to roadsafety.scot
The learning hub has stories and activities, for nursery and school children.
What do you do to keep safe? What did Ziggy say? Draw a picture or ask someone to write down what you have said. We like to hear what you have been learning. Feel free to send us your message, or a picture of your drawing.

This week all the activities have been supporting our attention and listening skills. Here is a story about Howard B Wigglebottom, what happens when he doesn’t listen and how he learns to listen. Listen and watch the story and see if you can find the correct pictures at the end, to show when he is listening. Have a great weekend, I will have another story for you next week.

old wellies (preferably ones you can no longer pass on!)
stones
compost
a drill of sorts
and of course seeds or small plants
Like with all recycled containers that you use as plant pots, you will need to create a “drainage” system. You don’t want water logged plants. So..
Your wellies can either be free standing or hung up!

We are learning that we eat different foods at certain times of the day & that we all have different tastes.
Talk about what you like to eat…For breakfast, lunch, dinner and snack?
Draw a picture of your favourite food. Why did you choose that one? Ask other people in your house what their favourite food is?
You may wish to email a picture of your drawing, or a video clip of you telling us about what you like to eat/favourite food.

Engineer with Marshmallow Shapes
Develop engineering skills while constructing basic shapes out of toothpicks and marshmallows. You can build shapes using the marshmallow as a connector to hold the toothpicks together. Challenge your child to invent new shapes or build three dimensionally. Make a castle, or a car! Get creative.
