There are lot’s of emotions in today’s story. The family are excited to go on a bear hunt, They are nervous going into the cave, scared when they are chased by the bear and the bear is sad that he has no friends to play with. Let’s explore these feelings with a song. Can you show us how you are feeling using your face?

Why not try to create your own bear hunt? There are lots of ways you could do this. You could get creative and design one using different resources, you could create a sensory trail, make a video whilst out on your daily walk or simply draw one. I can’t wait to see them

What an adventure that family went on to find a bear.
Outdoor activities are an important part of your child’s development as they promote emotional health benefits, such as self-confidence and the ability to assess risks.
We love playing outdoors, especially in the mud kitchen out in the garden. Playing in the mud is not only a soothing sensory experience but also helps develop positive dispositions. This is a space for children to retreat to for some time alone or to play with peers co-operating, communicating, negotiating and sharing.
Mud play stimulates children’s imagination as they are thinking of new ideas and role play scenarios. Children will use role play as a way of also developing their social and emotional understanding. As children are digging in the mud filling up their saucepans they will be reflecting on their own play and talking about what they are doing.
Don’t be afraid to introduce real kitchen implements and resources to encourage small world play.

Look how big they are getting! Did you know that caterpillars have 4000 muscles in their tiny body? Wow that is a lot!

Mollie is missing going to her favourite place – the beach. She painted a picture of her visiting the beach with mummy and daddy. Hopefully it won’t be too long before you can visit again.
