Nora has been looking at shapes and has been practicing drawing circles.  That’s a brilliant one.  I wonder if you could make that into a face?

Charley has been missing Mollie very much.  She sent her a picture in the post which made Mollie really happy.

Maybe you could use your email address account to search for some friends and email them a lovely picture to let them know you are thinking of them?

Mollie drew her own bear hunt in the garden using chalk.  This reminded her of when we all went on a bear hunt up the woods with all her friends.

Where is my baby?

There are lots of farm animal in today’s story.

The Cow,  Sheep,  Pig,  Duck,  Hen and Horse have all lost their babies.  Can you help look for them? You can use your finger to ‘draw’ a line from mummy to baby on the picture below.

Do you know what their names are?

how many animals are there altogether?

It’s Forky 🙂

Kyle wanted to make Forky from Toy Story 4, so he went to the cutlery drawer to find a fork to make him, before finding some craft materials to make  white one like in the film. He looks just like him.  Super job Kyle 🙂

Fun Fruity Ideas

Fruit Prints
Cut apples or pears in half, dip cut side in paint, and make prints.

Mystery Paint
Have the children paint using lemon juice.  Let the painting dry overnight. It will be invisible.  Place each child’s paper under several layers of newsprint.   Lightly iron over the paper with an iron set on high (no steam) until the artwork appears.  Ask children to guess why the pictures appeared.

Counting/sorting Fruit
Make a variety of fruit shapes, some small, middle sized and big, different colours, types etc.  Leave the basket of fruit shapes out for the children to explore, count and sort on their own.

Fingerplay (Poem with actions)
Bananas are my favorite fruit (make fist as if holding banana)
I eat one every day (hold up one finger)
I always take one with me (act as if putting one in pocket)
When I go out to play (wave goodbye)
It gives me lots of energy (make muscle)
To jump around and run (move arms as if running)
Bananas are my favorite fruit (rub tummy)
To me they’re so much fun! (point to self and smile)
