Food and health

It is important to learn about the food we eat and how it might affect our health. Let your child help prepare fruit, vegetables etc for meals, or get new food to try and make a taster plate. Which foods did you like trying?

Talk about where it comes from, colours and textures. How does the food get to the shops? Why is that food good to eat? Is it healthy?

Eating a variety of fruit and vegetables, (Rainbow foods) give us vitamins to keep our body healthy. Why don’t you draw and make a list of different food, showing which is healthy and what is not. You could also draw your favourite food.

We would like to see your pictures!
