Another good way for children to learn counting is to encourage them to count while doing something else, such as get your child to jump and count how many jumps.

A good game for this is hop scotch. Using some chalk draw a hopscotch on the ground, and write the numbers in the boxes.

This can also be used to encourage the children to recognise the different numbers.
