Exercising our heart and body is so important! We need to keep our body and mind healthy. The following activities give a nice burst of energy! Lets go!!
Warm up- Someone calls out traffic light; Green – run/walk, Amber – slow down, Red – stop. Keep changing tempo.
Animal races in the garden – Jump like a frog, fly like a bird etc.
Skipping rope – Long rope to jump over or to practice balancing, walk over it while lying flat on the ground.
Dance burst – Dance to music, when the music stops, freeze and hold a position.
Tag – When someone touches you, e.g do an exercise movement like jumping jacks, hop etc or hold a position.
“Dodge sponge” The person who is “it” will chase with the sponge to throw and touch the person in the leg area.
Are you out of breath yet? Good job! You deserve a rest!
Cool down – It’s time to relax…Lie down, close your eyes, and take breaths in and out slowly.
