Listening and action songs

Today we are going to continue being active, use our listening skills and develop our balance and co-ordination.

For a full workout, you can refer to Monday’s post for warm up and cool down ideas!

We can do exercises to  “Head, Shoulders, Knees and toes”.

Add in some body parts as you go along…like “Head, shoulders, knees and toes…elbows!”

Repeat getting faster as you go!

That’s too easy..let’s make it harder!

You can also sing the song, while leaving out random action words out, so we have to watch very carefully! For example, Head, (miss out saying shoulders), knees and toes.

Or for another challenge mix the words up! So you could do, toes, shoulder, head, nose!!

Repeat getting faster each time.

Is your heart beating yet?

“Simon Says”

Walk, jump, skip, hop, run, stretch up, sit down, lie down

Lets finish our workout with doing the Hokey Cokey! “That’s what it’s all about!”

These action songs have helped to keep our heart and body healthy!
