Primary 1 have been super busy this week during maths and literacy time.
In maths, they have been focusing on ‘2 more 2 less’. Today during number time, Jaxon and Freya played ‘teacher’ and asked the class a super number question with the Rekenrek. Amazing work guys 🙂
They have been super busy in literacy also, word building with all their sounds and challenging themselves with trickier words!
Primary 6/7 designed Sugar Art Skulls as part of their Skeleton topic. We linked our learning to Spanish and how Halloween is celebrated in other countries. Look at the amazing design and detail which has created a display for us all to enjoy.
Primary 1 have been looking at ‘2 more’ this week. They practised counting 2 more using the washing line and made sure they used their finger to jump 2 places forward to find their answer! Super work guys 🙂
Primary 1 had lots of fun this afternoon with their mini ‘Halloween party’ in the class. They played games like musical statues and musical bumps and even had a dancing competition! They looked amazing in their costumes, Happy Halloween 🙂
Primary 1 have been learning about ‘2 more’ today in maths. Different activities allowed the children to explore this concept. Amazing thinking going on today, well done Primary 1!
This week, Primary 1 have started learning all about the PATHS (Promoting Alternative Thinking Strategies) programme. Today, we introduced ‘pupil of the day’ and Jack was first up! Jack received compliments from our little friend Twiggle the turtle, his friends in the class and his teacher. He also gave himself a compliment. He said when someone gives him a compliment it makes him feel very happy. Jack was a fantastic role model as our first pupil of the day!
Primary 1 have been working on ‘1 more, 1 less’ in maths. One of the groups today had to solve the problem and find the number and counters to match their answer. Great thinking going on here!
Some fantastic leading learning going on during our child initiated learning time. Freya playing ‘teacher’ with Eve to practise their sounds. Well done girls, super work!
