Well done for all the hard work you did last week. There were lots of opportunities to ‘Express Yourself’. Here are a few examples of pupils expressing themselves.

Our Friday Assembly
Well done for all your hard work this week everyone. This is out first online assembly. We have been thinking about mental health this week and hoe we ‘express ourselves’. Our assembly is all about that. I hope you enjoy it.
Mrs Greig’s Weekly Challenge – Express Yourself
This week I’d like you to think about how you express your thoughts, ideas and feelings. I’d like you to think of something you enjoy doing. This may be a new hobby you’ve started during lockdown or something you’ve done for longer. Choose your own way of telling us us about this. You can draw or paint a picture, sing a song, do a dance, act it out, take a photograph, write a story or poem or make a film. If you send any of these by Thursday night, I’ll include them in a virtual assembly which I will post on Friday. I can’t wait to see your ideas.
Our Dalmellington Superheroes
Last week, I asked you to think about what your superhero costume, name and super powers would be. Here are the superhero designs that were sent to me. Well done. I can see how creative you all are. Click on the pictures in the Sway to see them more closley.

Mrs Greig’s Weekly Challenge
As we start week 2 of remote learning. I’m setting a challenge for everyone to try. Please watch the video to find out more about what I’d like the children to do. Please send any photos of pictures or writing completed by the children to me at my email address fiona.greig@eastayrshire.org.uk.
I’d like to put them all together and post them on the school blog for everyone to share.
I hope this week goes well. Remember we are here if you have any questions or concerns. Please get in touch if there is anything we can do to help.
Remote learning feedback
Good morning. We are nearly at the end of our first week back after the holidays, which has also been our first week of remote learning. I have been so impressed by the work and effort the children have given to completing their tasks remotely. I’d like to thank all the parents, carers and staff supporting our young people during this time. It is a team effort to do the best we can for the children. To help us ensure we are doing our best, we would appreciate some feedback from parents and carers about the children’s experiences this week. Could you please complete the survey below to help us evaluate our remote learning so far?
Thanks you
Mrs Greig
