Happy Burns Day everybody!
Today is Robert Burns birthday, traditionally some people in Scotland celebrate by having a Burns supper which is a celebration of the life & poetry of Robert Burns!
Mrs McPhee is having a Burns supper for dinner tonight, we are having Haggis, neeps & tatties! Who knows what “neeps & tatties” are? We are also having some Irn Bru which is also Scottish!
Is anyone else having haggis for dinner or wearing tartan today?
Hello everybody!
Mrs Caldwell & Mrs McKinlay were continuing our Scottish theme today in the centre. We have been learning about Scotland as it is Burns Day on Monday 25th January.
Do you know who Robert Burns is? Follow this link below to find out
The children were introduced to tartan and used cars & paint to create their own tartan patterns. Maybe you could try making tartan at home or maybe you have a piece of tartan clothing/scarf/ribbon that you could wear.
Please send us a picture to Mrs McPhee
