World book day – Thursday 4th March

As part of our World Book day celebrations we are asking the children to come to the ECC on Thursday dressed in their pyjamas and enjoy some bedtime stories. We will also take part in fun activities such as a pyjama conga, Book-bug session and indoor picnic! Look out for us uploading the pictures to our blog!

Please take some time to read the below attachments as these outline the importance of reading to and sharing stories with your children.

Activity with Mrs Donaldson and Kayla

Mrs Donaldson and Kayla thought we would share this fun activity with everyone.

We froze some animals and figures into small tubs with food colouring to make ice skating figures. We slide them back and forth to each other and talked about the different colors and described how they felt. ? What do you think they feel like?

Send any photographs you have found to me at karen.mcwhinnie@eastayrshire.org.uk

Eden’s uncle sent her some pictures of some strange looking icicles in his garden,  1 looked like a spider 🕷  Thank you for sharing them with us Eden! 🙂
