**Crosshouse P1 Transition Pictures**

As part of our transition to Crosshouse Primary School, we thought it would be helpful to share pictures of important parts of the Kirkstyle building and key staff with our children and families.

Here are some of the staff who you will get to meet

World book day – Thursday 4th March

As part of our World Book day celebrations we are asking the children to come to the ECC on Thursday dressed in their pyjamas and enjoy some bedtime stories. We will also take part in fun activities such as a pyjama conga, Book-bug session and indoor picnic! Look out for us uploading the pictures to our blog!

Please take some time to read the below attachments as these outline the importance of reading to and sharing stories with your children.

Being Healthy!

Mrs McKinlay and Mrs Caldwell used the parachute in the ECC gym hall with the boys & girls, They had so much fun making it go up in the air like a balloon. They put their toys in the middle and bounced them high into the sky. Then they made a tent and hid inside!

They talked about how exercise makes them feel, here are some of their responses “Happy” “Hot” “Sweating”.

You could try doing some exercises at home and see how it makes you feel 🙂 Maybe you could share your ideas here on our blog!

Kindness 💕

Kindness
Hi boys and girls, it’s Mrs Shaw.

Lockdown can be tough and we can sometimes forget to be kind to our family. In our house we came up with an idea to encourage kindness and helping others in our family. When you complete an act of kindness, you get a paper love heart to stick up on a wall/fridge. After a few days or a week you should have a lovely colourful display. Here’s a photo of our display. There’s 3 people in our family so we have 3 different coloured hearts. I’ll give you a small list of examples to get you started but I’m sure all you boys and girls will come up with lots of really kind and helpful ideas. Please share your displays with us 💙❤️🧡💛💚

Some ideas-
-Remember to say thank you
-Tell someone how much you love them
-Help make dinner
-Share your toys
