P1 voted for their favourite book from their Bookbug Bag. Â The children draw their face on a piece of paper and we created a pictograph to record the results.
We used twigs and sprigs of leaves from different plants to paint Stick Man.
The Kindness Elves in P3/4 visited and asked the children to share some Christmas stories with P1. Â Some P1s visited their classroom and some P3/4s visited the P1 classroom to take part in the session.
We all loved listening to the stories!
We have been learning to log on to the laptops.
We also learnt to link what we have been learning in Maths about 2D shapes to use the shape tools in Paint to make a Christmas Tree.
P1 planned what they would like to have in their Santa’s Workshop.
With the help of some P5 pupils, P1 made labels and signs for the new role play area. Â The class cannot wait to start playing in it!
We practised cutting bread and spreading butter to make a cheese sandwich for our Gruffalo Tea Party.
P1 listened to a story about handwashing and how and when we should wash our hands.
We did a ‘Glitter Bug’ experiment to see how easy it was to pass bugs and germs from one person’s hands to another.
After this, we all then practised washing our hands correctly.
As part of Book Week Scotland, we had a fantastic afternoon sharing the contents of the P1 Bookbug Bag, listening to one of the stories and completing an activity session.
Mrs Conetta shared the story, The Station Mouse and then P1 pupils worked  with their grown-ups or buddies to complete the Maurice the Mouse challenge they had been given.  To end the session, Mrs Davidson gifted the pupils with their Bookbug Bags.
