Our ECC children visited the P1 classroom as part of the transition programme. Â They visited at Halloween and then have enjoyed this second visit in December.
P1 pupils acted as buddies and showed and played with the ECC children in the different areas in our classroom.
We have been learning about how water can look different…
It can be ice.
It can be liquid.
It can be steam.
We froze some water and then explored what happened as it melted.

After reading Stick Man, we used twigs, leaves and wool to make our own stick men. Â We had to work out how use the wool to attach the twigs and leaves to make our stick men.
P1 had a fantastic PE lesson with P6 pupils planning and delivering a gymnastics lesson.
They completed a warm-up, taught different rolls and a cool down.
P1 learnt how to do a pencil roll, a teddy bear roll and forward roll.
We have been retelling the story of the Nativity.
P1 voted for their favourite book from their Bookbug Bag. Â The children draw their face on a piece of paper and we created a pictograph to record the results.
We used twigs and sprigs of leaves from different plants to paint Stick Man.
The Kindness Elves in P3/4 visited and asked the children to share some Christmas stories with P1. Â Some P1s visited their classroom and some P3/4s visited the P1 classroom to take part in the session.
We all loved listening to the stories!
We have been learning to log on to the laptops.
We also learnt to link what we have been learning in Maths about 2D shapes to use the shape tools in Paint to make a Christmas Tree.
