Facial Expression PicCollage
Through PATHS and our topic, we have been learning about different feelings and talking about how we can show different feelings on our faces.
P1 took photos of each other and then made a PicCollage with labels to show the different feelings.
Left and Right
We used the construction area to build mazes for the cars to travel around. We had to use the directions – forward, turn left and right.
Health Week – Open Morning
Thank you to all the parents/carers who came to join our Health Open Morning. We played fruit bingo, working out how many teaspoonfuls of sugar are in some foods and used the laptops to make a healthy lunch box.
Technology
What a fun afternoon in P1! Having learnt about Abu from Kenya, who makes his own car/truck toy using milk bottles and shoe boxes, we decided to make our own. These will also be our entries for the Gala Day Art Competition which had a recycling theme.
After all this hard work, this pupil transferred his skills into our construction area where he made a tractor with a trailer.
Forces Poster using PicCollage
We have been learning about different forces – push, pull and twist.
P1 has to use the camera on the iPads to take photos of these forces in the classroom.
We then used the app, PicCollage to display the photos with captions.
Fruit Smoothies gone digital!
P1 used Immersive Reader on Word today on the iPads to listen to and follow the recipe to make fruit smoothies.
We have been learning about the importance of a healthy, balanced diet and designed our own smoothies. – Strawberry and raspberry and Orange and pineapple…delicious!
P1-3 Glow Masterclass
Our P1-3 Glow Masterclass are becoming tech geniuses by logging onto Glow and starting making a Sway to show their highlights of their school year.
The outdoors inspired our writing
We have been reading, The Very Hungry Caterpillar in class. The class had to think where the butterfly might fly to after coming out of the cocoon. We went outside and in groups took photos on the iPads of where the butterfly might go around the playground.
We shared the photos back in the classroom and used the ideas to help inspire our writing.
