Our Weekly Update
Morning boys and girls, I hope you have all had a lovely few days and enjoyed the sunshine again! It’s amazing how sunshine makes you feel so happy. 😊Mrs Eccleston and I have been very busy at home with our families. Here are some photos and stories about what we have been up to since last week.
I have had lots of fun, we went a huge family walk at the weekend. One we had never done before and walked all the way along the river and ended up in Gatehead! It took a while to walk home 😂 . Zack learned how to skim stones at the river. Sam had to make a lava lamp for his science class so we all enjoyed experimenting with him. We played lots of family games too, Trivia Pursuit, cards and 5 second rule. Everyone is very competitive in our house so 5 second rule didn’t end very well! 😂 I went a long run with Sam although he left me after 10 mins because he said I was running to slow! Beth, Zack and I grew a rainbow with kitchen roll, coloured pens and water. I think you would all like that experiment. We had our fire on outside with marshmallows lots over the weekend and I made a fish curry for the first time. It was very tasty! I had fun with Zack making a pirate hat, colouring in and creating a shop in his room. We also played a family bingo game with friends over Zoom everyone enjoyed it and there were even prizes to be won!
Mrs Eccleston was very busy too. She did lots of baking, making shortbread, cookies, meringues, cupcakes and prepared sandwiches to create a surprise afternoon tea that her girls left for their gran. Lots of art work was also completed to say ‘Thank you’ to NHS and key workers and they painted stones and made a chalk design by using tape to mark out 2D shapes then lifted it off to reveal their art! Isla made a marble run but instead of using marbles she used dog biscuits for Rocky to receive a treat. Ruby was practising her Highland dancing and creating bands and bracelets and balls from loom bands. They also had fun splashing each other in puddles on a dog walk. Mrs Eccleston joined her friend in Sydney, Australia live on Zoom and completed the workouts from her gym. They were not easy! They are all looking forward to some more sunshine this week and thinking about what tasty treats they can bake!
We are looking forward to hearing lots about what you have all been up to! Take care and stay safe. 😊
