Technical Issue

Hi Primary 2/3,

Unfortunately there was a technical issue yesterday with some Glow passwords in order to access emails. The majority of children can still access their Glow account and email using their original password. However, can the following children please use the temporary password primary2 and when prompted change the password to suit you. Once this has been done can you please email Mrs Kelly on laura.kelly@east-ayrshire.gov.uk  with your new password.

Margaret,  Harriet,  Lachlan,  Douglas,  Elvie and Murray

Could Emily and Oscar also  do as above however your temporary password is primary3.

Thanks again and apologies for any inconvenience caused.

Thanks Mrs McCallum & Mrs Eccleston

P2/3 Weekly Learning Grid

Please see below this week’s Primary 2/3 learning grid.
There are a selection of activities which can be completed as and when suits you.
Have a chat with adults at home to make your own plan.
Please note, these activities are not mandatory.
  • If you wish for activities to be checked by your class teacher, try to leave a comment  on this post sharing at least one activity you have tried this week. Class teachers will check all posts on a Friday and may comment on your work.
  • A new grid will be uploaded each Monday for each class therefore it is important that you check the class blog regularly.
You will also continue to have access to Giglets and Education City.
  • In addition, new logins have been created for all pupils P2-7 for Sumdog.
 Your login details will be e-mailed to you. To access this e-mail;
–  log in to your own Glow
- on the Fenwick Primary School launchpad click the ‘Mail’ tile (Outlook – this should be the first icon)
- you will then be taken to your mailbox (you may need to select a time-zone first)
Once you have read this post it would be good if you could pass this information on to your peers to make sure everyone is able to access it.
Click the link below for some daily live events too.
Thanks Mrs McCallum and Mrs Eccleston

Learning Update

Please remember to check the Updates Page on the school website.

Staff have been working remotely from home and are in the process of making Learning Grids that will be available from the class blogs from Monday to supplement the learning packs issued and Education City and Giglets.

Please be aware there is no expectation to complete everything and these activities and tasks should be spread out over time.

Thank you for your support and understanding at this time.

Science through a window

As the weather begins to change, new plants are beginning to grow. Look out your window.

What  plants and animals can you see?

Record what you see by drawing a picture.

Next week look out the same window again. Do you notice any changes? Draw and record what you see.
Try to do this every week and you’ll have a record of how nature changes and grows.

STEM week

We investigated solids, liquids and gases. We dissolved 2 types os salt in a fair test to see which dissolved quicker. We watched raisins ‘dance’ in fizzy water and made chemical reactions with cola, mentos, lemon, vinegar, washing up liquid and bicarbonate of soda. Lots of interesting learning using kitchen ingredients. The favourite activity was creating the lava lamp with oil, water and syrup.
